Expressing my gratitude this holiday season
Colleagues,
As the holiday season approaches, I want to express my gratitude for all you do to help advance our Commonwealth.
I see the hard work and passion you bring as you care for our campus buildings and grounds, administer and support programs that accelerate success and ensure the effectiveness of departments, units and facilities throughout the university.
Your work sets the foundation across campus and in every corner of the Commonwealth to build on the momentum that defines the University of Kentucky as a place of purpose, progress and impact.
This year has been extraordinary for our university in so many ways.
We celebrated the largest fall enrollment in the history of our university, and we achieved a six-year graduation rate of more than 71% — placing us among the top 100 public, four-year institutions in America. As many of you know, enrolling, retaining and graduating more students than ever is critical to our mission.
We expanded the reach of UK HealthCare throughout the state by partnering with local communities to heal even more patients as we strive to make discoveries which will help us continue to meet the needs of more Kentuckians.
These milestones are rooted in your dedication to advancing Kentucky. Each of you plays a vital role in this progress, and for that, I am deeply grateful.
As we reflect on this year, let us carry the momentum and pride into furthering our progress even more in 2025. Together, we will continue to further our mission to advance Kentucky.
Thank you again for all you do.
