While our goal is to always keep campus fully operational and sustain our critical missions of education, research, service and patient care, there are rare occasions when we must alter our normal schedule or close the portion of our campus outside of UK HealthCare and operate on our severe weather staffing plan known as Plan B.

More Flexibility to Use Your Vacation Time

Dear Colleagues, I know how hard each of you has been working since we began our COVID-19 response a year ago. Your dedication to our mission and those we serve has shined. Throughout this response period, we have encouraged you to take your accrued vacation time, and many of you have. It is important to use your vacation time to benefit your overall well-being. However, the pandemic has caused many disruptions, including the ability of some to take their full vacation allotment due to increased workload or other staffing needs.

COVID-19 Testing Protocols This Spring

Dear Students, As we conclude the first week of the spring semester, I want to share plans to uphold our most important promise: keeping you healthy and safe. As a part of that commitment, we will continue to conduct ongoing, mandatory testing this spring to manage the COVID-19 virus. Payroll Deducted Parking Fees to be Paid on Post-tax Basis

Dear Colleagues: The 2018-2019 parking permit year officially began on July 1. As communicated in an email to all UK employees on May 23, language in the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act signed into law earlier this year was unclear with respect to whether or not nonprofit employers could continue to offer payroll deductions for parking fees on a pre-tax basis without penalty.
